Fees
- 50 minute individual psychotherapy $350
- 90 minute GUIDE session $500
- Clinical Supervision – fees adjustable according to experience
I ask that payment be made at the time of service. I use Ivy Pay, a secure, encrypted, HIPAA-compliant payment system used by many therapists. Payment may also be made on the doxy.me platform, or for in-person sessions by cash or check. We can make other arrangements for payments when appropriate. I can consider requests for a reduced fee for college and graduate students for all services.

Insurance
I am not a member of any insurance panel in my private practice (even though I may be listed on websites as a covered provider due to my affiliation with a hospital).
Psychotherapy is generally a reimbursable expense under most insurance plans. When you make payment, I will provide a receipt, which includes all of the information you typically need to submit the charge for reimbursement from your insurance company for a treatment delivered by an out-of-network provider.
Because reimbursement for psychotherapy varies widely across insurance plans, prior to making an appointment, it is advisable to ask your insurance provider the following questions:
- Does my insurance plan include behavioral health benefits?
- What is my annual deductible?
- What is the start date?
- What percentage of the fee is reimbursed if I see an “out-of-network” provider? Is there a maximum?
- How many sessions does my insurance plan cover per calendar year and how is this determination made?
- How do I submit my receipts for reimbursement?
- Are payments made directly to me?
- What is the coverage for telehealth/virtual sessions vs. in-person sessions?

Teletherapy
Teletherapy can be preferable to some due to its convenience and accessibility. I offer Teletherapy sessions using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform (doxy.me) to those located in the state of Massachusetts only, when it is determined to be appropriate. Please contact me with any questions about virtual sessions.
Practice Policies
Sessions
For ongoing psychotherapy, I meet at regularly scheduled times for 50-minute sessions. GUIDE sessions are 90 minutes.
Missed or Cancelled Sessions
Your time is reserved for you. If you need to cancel your appointment, please give as much notice as possible. Appointments that are cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are charged at the full fee, excepting serious emergencies.
